Data Deletion Request

Effective and last reviewed: 7 August 2026. This page is written to describe the current operating model without inventing regulated status.

Controller

Who controls the data

For clients under contract, the controller is the contracting entity identified in the service disclosure. For enquirers not yet under contract, enquiry data received through this website and our social and self-media channels is controlled by OCEANGO PTE. LTD. (UEN 202612964M).

Scope

What this page covers

This page applies to the accounts we operate under the OceanGo name on social and self-media platforms, and to data we receive through the official interfaces of those platforms.

  • Where you authorise us to receive it, your platform account identifier and basic public profile information (such as display name and profile picture).
  • Content and contact details you choose to send us through platform messages, comments or forms.
  • Copies of the above retained in our own systems in order to respond to your enquiry.

You may ask us to delete all records, or only specified content.

Exception: this page does not cover data held by the social platform itself, which is governed by that platform’s own rules; nor does it cover data held by third parties in their own capacity as controllers, including professionals, schools, banks and other institutions you appoint yourself or are referred to under disclosure. Those deletions must be raised with the institution directly, and on request we can tell you which institutions your data was disclosed to. Service providers that process data on our instructions (cloud, email, payment) carry out the same deletion instruction.

Deletion requests

How to request deletion

  • Email dpo@oceangogroup.com with “Data Deletion Request” in the subject line.
  • State the platform concerned and your account identifier on that platform (username or profile link).
  • If you want only specific content deleted rather than all records, state the scope.
  • If you have an ongoing engagement or an unpaid invoice with us, we will confirm how it should be handled before carrying out the deletion.
  • You may also withdraw our access at any time on the platform itself. Withdrawal stops new data from reaching us; data already received is deleted only after you make a request under the process set out on this page.

Processing time

How long we take

We aim to acknowledge your request within 5 business days of receipt, counted at the location of the entity handling your request. We will respond with the outcome within 30 days of receipt; in our day-to-day business systems, deletion is normally completed within the same period. Where a request is complex or where a large number of requests is received, processing may take longer; we will inform you of the reason and the expected completion time within the original period, and any extension will not exceed a further 60 days.

Retention and statutory rights

Which records are retained

Residual copies held in routine encrypted backups are overwritten in the normal backup rotation and are not used for any other purpose in the meantime. Records that must be kept under legal, tax or accounting obligations, records needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims (including during any applicable limitation period), and records that must be retained under a court order or at the request of a regulator or law enforcement authority, are retained until the relevant obligation, period or proceeding ends, and are deleted afterwards. Once deletion is complete, we will not be able to retrieve or restore those records for you; please keep your own copies of anything you need before making a request.

The deletion channel described on this page is provided voluntarily so that you can make requests in one place. Your access, correction and other statutory rights under the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act or the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance are not affected. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request, you may complain to the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) in Singapore or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (PCPD) in Hong Kong.
